By the time the light shows, things have generally been deteriorating for a while. It is last news:
- tailing off on power, particularly uphill
- you notice the revs stop short of where they used to go
- fuel use that is worse than before
- silently, the stop/start bows out
- the car reeking of diesel, or smoke when you pull away
By itself, none of that is conclusive. The light beside them indicates a blocked filter.
What clogs diesel particulate filters near Wig
