Mobile DPF Cleaning serving Radley Park, Oxfordshire
Call-out DPF cleaning travels to the car. The technician pulls up at your door across Radley Park and starts. The diesel particulate filter is cleared fitted to the vehicle, a DPF regeneration runs after it, and you keep the filter you started with.
You'll have a figure by phone before anyone departs, the clean opening from £299, and the visit taking typically around 2 hours.
Most people find us with the light on already, and the car down on power. That is the situation this page is written for.
Your DPF light is lit — what next?
The DPF is not always what is to blame, and that comes first. Treatment is not where a visit starts. A diagnostic is — a number of faults register as the same warning.
The use you get in the meantime counts. That is the next thing.
- Worth a try before you book anything: amber light, vehicle driving fine, just one steady run, no charge.
- That window has shut once the motor has slipped into limp mode. Motoring will not do it now.
- Diesel smell in the interior, or black smoke under the throttle — stop arranging long drives and get it looked at.
What the motor has been showing you
The light is last news. By the time it appears, the symptoms have generally been mounting for weeks:
- falling off on power, above all uphill
- you notice the revs fall short of where they used to go
- fuel economy getting worse
- a stop/start that has meekly bowed out
- a diesel smell in the interior, or smoke under the throttle
That is not conclusive on its own. Alongside the light, it is a fair assumption the filter is blocked.
The reason diesel particulate filters block around Radley Park
Being a small village, Radley Park generates exactly the use a DPF manages worst. Look at an ordinary week: Radley Church of England Primary School and home again, Whites Lane at a halt before the hour, a five-minute run to Budgens, a hop to Radley. Not much there lasts long enough or gets hot enough to see through a regeneration. What should burn away stays put.
Neither is distant from Radley Park: under 10 miles to the Wheatley Spur, under 5 miles to Oxford. Neither is on the way to anything most weeks, though, so the drive that would clear a filter simply never gets made.
Why limp mode prevents a DPF regeneration
Limp mode is the motor looking after itself. A long drive works by triggering a regeneration, and that is precisely what limp mode prevents: power capped, revs kept low, no regeneration available.
So the common advice to take it up the motorway is sound advice, until it is not. The filter requires cleaning rather than driving once the vehicle has dropped into limp mode.
Where the vehicle stands is where the DPF is treated across Radley Park
Most people do not see coming this bit: the filter stays on. The job happens with the DPF yet fixed to the car — on your drive, in a work car park, wherever the motor can wait for a couple of hours.
A check comes first — running data off the ECU, soot load by percentage and by mass, and a check of the sensor readings, glow plugs and connected hardware, so other faults are cleared before anything is touched.
Then the clean. A solution is injected through the access port on that car and spreads inside the filter, freeing the soot and ash a regeneration alone will never shift. Where the filter is badly clogged, plan on a second pass.
Then a regeneration, to burn off what the clean has lifted. If you are there, that is carried out as a monitored drive out of Radley Park; if not, on the spot where the vehicle sits, with the live data checked afterwards.
Finally the scan runs again — the change confirmed, the light reset, anything still open written down. Both read-outs arrive with you by email, so the numbers are kept.
The problems a DPF clean cannot cure
One thing is what a clean fixes — a filter choked with soot and ash. It does little for:
- a pressure or temperature sensor showing a block that is not there
- the EGR valve jammed open
- AdBlue system problems
- a regeneration that simply never completes, because of glow plugs or injectors
- the turbo putting oil into the filter
Which is why the check goes first. If it proves to be one of those, you are warned before any work begins rather than after you have settled up for it.
Two things more worth bearing in mind. Getting the filter hollowed out is not a remedy — a vehicle without a working DPF will fail its MOT and driving it is illegal. And cleaning is sometimes searched for as DPF renewal: nothing is replaced, your existing filter is cleared in place and sent back into use.
The cost for DPF cleaning around Radley Park
A call-out charge stands whatever follows, and takes in the visit, the booking fee, the diagnostic and the advice given. Cleaning itself opens from £299.
Once we have what you drive, and roughly what the filter will want, the price gets agreed on the phone. A single price for all would not be truthful. Where you are matters as much as what you run: Radley Park itself, Lodge Hill close by, or farther out across the OX postcode area.
You are not billed for cleaning that the check says will not do it. You nonetheless pay that charge: someone came out, carried out the diagnostic and gave you the advice.
Aftercare is covered by a 30-day warranty: should the light come back within it, an engineer heads back to Radley Park.
Ashley at DPF fixer did a first class job cleaning my Jaguar DPF, Very efficient, informative, knowledgeable. More than happy with the service I received today, would recommend.
Excellent service from mobile DPF cleaner. Booked around lunchtime, then a same day service, albeit quite late in the evening by the time the mechanic arrived! However, he got the job done, and advised me of what else was needed to ensure that I didn't have any recurrence.
Mechanic who did the dpf cleaning was really good at his job, explained everything he was doing and gave me some pointers on keeping the dpf cleaner for longer. It is pricey but cheaper than replacing the dpf.
The vehicles we clean and the patch we cover round Radley Park
Whatever it is — car, panel van, light commercial, lorry, plant, construction machinery, agricultural vehicle — the very same call-out service stands, and the filter never leaves it.
Radley Park is seldom a special trip: our engineers are along Whites Lane week in week out, and the same run picks up Lodge Hill, Northcourt and the villages out past Sunningwell. Ring anyway from further out across Oxfordshire. Coverage extends UK-wide, and the date you get comes down to the calendar rather than how far away you are.

Common questions on DPF cleaning across Radley Park
- Does a long run clear it?
- Quickly enough, and with the vehicle out of limp mode, yes — sometimes. Ten minutes to Budgens and back will not be enough; motorway speed, held for a stretch, will.
- Does the visit run long?
- That is typically around 2 hours, though a badly loaded filter can take cleaning twice, which adds time.
- Across Radley Park, what does it run to?
- Opening from £299, with a charge for the call-out that covers the scan and advice on what to do next. We settle it on the phone, because the vehicle and your address both move the number.
- Is it needed for me to be around?
- You need not stand with it — the vehicle only wants a spot to wait for a couple of hours. If you would sooner come along, the regeneration can be run as a supervised drive instead.
- How soon can someone travel to Radley Park?
- Depending on the schedule, often same-day or next-day is usual. Call 0303 330 1830 and you will know what is open across the OX area.
- Does the filter come away from the car?
- Not on the call-out service — it is treated where it is. Neither lifting a filter off nor bolting one back on is work we do.
- Suppose the light reappears?
- Included by the 30-day warranty: aftercare, and an engineer coming back to Radley Park.
