Symptoms have normally been building for weeks before the light even shows. Late news, in other words:
- climbing uphill, the power tails off
- you see the revs stop short of where they once went
- fuel consumption turning worse
- a stop/start that has quietly bowed out
- diesel in the interior, or smoke on the way up through the gears
That is not proof by itself. Next to the light beside them, the filter is a fair guess.
Why diesel particulate filters choke around Plas Meredydd
