Mobile DPF Cleaning around Palestine, Hampshire
With on-site DPF cleaning, we travel to the motor. The technician turns up at your door across Palestine and sets up. The diesel particulate filter is cleaned fitted to the motor, a DPF regeneration runs after it, and you end up with the filter you started with.
Nobody travels until the number is settled over the phone. The visit runs typically around 2 hours and the clean starts from £299.
Most drivers find us with the light showing, and the vehicle short of power. That is the situation this page is written for.
Your DPF light is lit — what then?
Not the unit, automatically. First thing to note. Plenty of faults put the very same light on the identical dash, which is why a visit opens with a scan rather than with treatment.
How the car is handled in the meantime matters too.
- A long even run may even now manage it, provided the light is amber and the motor runs as normal. Costs zero, so attempt that before booking.
- Car already dropped into limp mode — that window has shut. A drive will not touch it now.
- A diesel smell inside, or black smoke under the throttle, is the moment to stop planning long drives and ring.
What the motor has been warning you
Symptoms have usually been mounting for a while before the light even appears. Belated news, in other words:
- climbing uphill, the power falls off
- you see the revs fall short of where they used to go
- economy that is worse than it was
- silently, the stop/start gives up
- diesel in the cabin, or smoke on the way up through the box
Any one of those, taken alone, is not conclusive. Next to the light, it is a fair assumption the filter is blocked.
What blocks diesel particulate filters round Palestine
Palestine is a rural village, and the motoring that comes with one is the poorest sort for a DPF. Not one bit of it runs long enough or is hot enough for the filter to finish a regeneration: the school run to Grateley Primary School, Streetway Road crawling at half past eight, ten minutes to Tesco, the hop to Grateley. Instead of burning off, the unburnt soot banks up.
Unless you have a standing need to drive out to the M3, under 25 miles from Palestine, or over to Salisbury under 10 miles away, whole weeks slip past without a sustained run. Geography is no help.
Why limp mode blocks a DPF regeneration
It is self-preservation: that is all limp mode means. The whole difficulty is that a sustained drive works by starting a regeneration, and once in limp mode the revs will not pull and power is capped.
Sensible advice, that motorway run — until the day it is not. In limp mode you are beyond that line: cleaning is what will work, not more miles.
Where the car stands is where the DPF is treated round Palestine
Most owners do not expect this bit: the filter stays on. The job takes place with the DPF yet bolted to the motor — on your driveway, in a work car park, anywhere the motor can sit for a few hours.
First a check. Live ECU data, the soot load as a percent and as a mass, the sensor feeds, the glow plugs, the related parts — all of it taken before a thing is cleaned.
A cleaning fluid next is fed in through the access point on that motor, expanding inside the filter to free soot and ash a regeneration alone will never shift. Heavily blocked filters sometimes take a second pass.
Then a regeneration, to burn off what the clean has loosened. If you are there, that is run as a monitored drive out of Palestine; if not, in place where the vehicle sits, with the running data read afterwards.
A second diagnostic verifies the change, puts out the warning light and lists anything still showing. Both read-outs are sent over, so you keep the before and after figures to hand.
When a DPF clean is not the answer
Only one fault is fixed by treatment: the filter blocked with ash and soot. It does nothing for:
- the wrong figure from a temperature sensor
- an EGR valve stuck open
- the AdBlue system going wrong
- glow plugs or injectors stopping the regeneration starting whatsoever
- a turbo putting oil through the filter
Which is why the diagnostic goes first. You are told before any work starts, not after you have handed over, where it turns out to be one of those.
Gutting the filter out is not a remedy: without a working DPF a vehicle will fail its MOT, and driving it is an offence. DPF renewal is the phrase people type in, though nothing is replaced — your own filter is cleared in place and sent back into use. Two more worth bearing in mind.
Costs for DPF cleaning in Palestine
The treatment opens from £299. A call-out charge applies to every visit, and covers the call-out itself, the booking, the check and the advice that comes with it.
The number is agreed over the phone, once we have the vehicle and what the filter is apt to need. No flat rate could be straight. Two things change it: what you own, and where you are — Palestine itself, out at Quarley, or farther out across the SP postcode area.
Cleaning that will not do it is not treatment you pay for, and the check is what says so. The call-out charge still applies, because the visit, the scan and the advice have taken place.
If the light returns inside that time, an engineer travels back out to Palestine — the work includes a 30-day warranty taking in aftercare.
Rang them and they came out the same day, done a deep clean on the dpf, so will have to see if it has worked.
Engineer was very informative and polite, my car was fixed and I can only assume it will be ok in the future. Good service from this company.
Arrived as promised the next day. Very good explanation of the process. Went ahead with the clean and the car is now very responsive and quick with no warning lights. Thank you Ashley.
What we clean, and how far we go round Palestine
Whatever it is — private car, light van, light commercial, lorry, plant, construction machinery, farm vehicle — the same mobile service holds, and the filter never leaves it.
Engineers are along Streetway Road nearly every week, so Palestine is rarely a detour, and the same run takes in Quarley, Cholderton and the villages out past Grateley. Coverage runs UK-wide, so even further out through Hampshire is still worth a ring, and what settles between today and tomorrow is the schedule rather than the distance.

Common questions on DPF cleaning across Palestine
- Can I merely take it for a long drive?
- Sometimes, if you spot it in time and the vehicle has not fallen into limp mode. A sustained run at motorway speed is what it takes — not fifteen minutes to Tesco and back.
- How long does the visit run?
- That is typically around 2 hours, though a heavily clogged filter can need cleaning twice, which takes longer.
- Cost around Palestine — what is it?
- It starts from £299, plus the call-out charge taking in the visit, the check and the advice. Pricing is done by phone, since what you own and where you are both move the number.
- Must I be present in person?
- You need not stand with it — the vehicle simply wants space to stand for a couple of hours. Travel along if you like, and the regeneration turns into a supervised drive.
- Coming to Palestine — how soon?
- That hangs on the diary, but it is often same-day or next-day. Call 0303 330 1830 and we will tell you what is available across the SP area.
- Is the filter lifted off the motor?
- It is cleaned where it stands, on the on-site service. That job — a filter off, a filter back on — is not a job we do.
- And if the light reappears?
- Taken in by the 30-day warranty: aftercare, and an engineer coming back to Palestine.
