- power dropping away, particularly going uphill
- an engine whose revs will not climb like they did
- worse fuel consumption
- a stop/start that has meekly bowed out
- smoke under acceleration, or a diesel smell in the car
That is not proof on its own. Next to the light beside them, the filter is a fair assumption.
Why diesel particulate filters choke round Minster Lovell
For a DPF, the worst motoring is the sort you find around a village such as Minster Lovell.
