Symptoms have generally been growing for some time before the light even appears. Belated news, in other words:
- less power, especially going uphill
- revs that will not rise the way they once did
- the fuel use is down
- silently, the stop/start gives up
- diesel in the car, or smoke on the way up through the box
That is not evidence alone. The light with them suggests a loaded filter.
