- power dropping away, especially going uphill
- you find the revs never reach where they used to go
- fuel use that is worse than before
- stop/start silently bowing out
- smoke under acceleration, or a diesel smell inside
That is not proof on its own. Alongside the light, it is a fair bet the filter is loaded.
Why diesel particulate filters block around Kings Furlong
For a DPF, the poorest motoring is the sort you meet around a residential suburb such as Kings Furlong.
