Belated news, the light. The symptoms tend to mount for weeks before it shows:
- falling off on power, above all uphill
- an engine whose revs will not rise as they should
- worse fuel use
- silently, the stop/start gives up
- diesel in the cabin, or smoke on the way up through the gearbox
Alone, none of that is conclusive. Alongside the light with them, the filter is a fair guess.
