Symptoms have generally been building for some time before the light so much as arrives. Late news, in other words:
- going uphill, the power drops away
- you find the revs stop short of where they once went
- economy that is worse than before
- stop/start without a word bowing out
- diesel in the interior, or smoke on the way up through the box
None of that is proof by itself. The light with them points at a full filter.
Why diesel particulate filters clog around Tretio
For a DPF, the worst use is the sort you meet across a rural hamlet such as Tretio.
