Last news, the light. The symptoms generally grow for some time before it appears:
- less power, especially going uphill
- revs that will not pull the way they always did

- diesel in the car, or smoke on the way up through the gearbox
Any one of those, taken by itself, is not evidence. Next to the light, it is a fair guess the filter is full.
Why diesel particulate filters clog near Thrumster
