What the motor has been warning you
Belated news, the light. The symptoms usually grow for some time before it shows:
- power falling off, particularly going uphill
- the revs no longer rise the way they used to
- economy that is worse than before
- stop/start silently bowing out
- smoke under acceleration, or a diesel smell inside
Any one of those, taken by itself, is not evidence. Next to the light, it is a fair guess the filter is loaded.
What blocks diesel particulate filters near Struy
