- the revs no longer climb the way they always did
- economy that is worse than before
- a stop/start that has meekly bowed out
- the car stinking of diesel, or smoke when you accelerate
None of that is proof by itself. With the light alongside them, the filter is a fair assumption.
Why diesel particulate filters clog near St Davids
