Belated news, the light. The symptoms usually grow for a while before it shows:
- tailing off on power, above all uphill
- the revs no longer climb the way they always did
- fuel use turning worse
- a stop/start that has meekly packed in
- smoke under the throttle, or a diesel smell inside
That is not evidence by itself. The light beside them suggests a blocked filter.
