Late news, the light. The symptoms usually grow for some time before it appears:
- less power, above all climbing uphill
- the revs no longer climb the way they always did
- consumption that is worse than before
- quietly, the stop/start bows out
- diesel in the interior, or smoke on the way up through the box
That is not conclusive by itself. Alongside the light beside them, the filter is a fair bet.
