- less power, above all climbing uphill
- you find the revs never reach where they always went
- economy that is worse than it was
- stop/start without a word giving up
- smoke under acceleration, or a diesel smell in there
Any one of those, taken singly, is not evidence. It is a fair bet the filter is loaded once the light is on as well.
Why diesel particulate filters clog round Piltdown
The driving that goes with a rural village like Piltdown is the poorest kind for a DPF.
