What the car has been telling you
By the time the light appears, things have generally been deteriorating for some time. It is belated news:
- falling off on power, above all uphill
- revs that will not pull the way they once did
- economy that is worse than before
- silently, the stop/start packs in
- the interior stinking of diesel, or smoke when you accelerate
None of that is conclusive alone. The light beside them suggests a loaded filter.
Why diesel particulate filters choke around Pen-twyn
