Signs the motor has been giving you
Symptoms have usually been building for weeks before the light even appears. Late news, in other words:
- pulling uphill, the power falls off
- an engine whose revs will not pull as before
- worse fuel use
- a stop/start that has quietly given up
- smoke under the throttle, or a diesel smell in the car
That is not conclusive alone. Alongside the light alongside them, the filter is a fair bet.
The cause diesel particulate filters clog near Passmores
