- you find the revs fall short of where they used to go
- worse fuel consumption
- the stop/start without a word packing in
- a diesel smell in the cabin, or smoke under acceleration
That is not conclusive on its own. The light beside them suggests a full filter.

A couple more worth knowing. Having the filter hollowed out is not a remedy — a vehicle without a working DPF cannot pass its MOT and driving it is illegal. And cleaning is sometimes searched for as DPF renewal: nothing is swapped, your original filter is treated in place and sent back into use.
