Mobile DPF Cleaning covering New End, Warwickshire
Mobile DPF cleaning comes to the vehicle. Your car will not be taken off and the filter will not come off. A fitter comes at your door over in New End, treats the diesel particulate filter still on the motor and carries out a DPF regeneration.
You'll be given a number by phone before anyone goes, the clean starting from £299, and the visit lasting typically around 2 hours.
If the light is showing and the car is short of power, this page is yours. That is how most people end up here.
The DPF light is on. What next?
First thing: it is not always the unit. A check happens before the treatment, because that same panel light has several candidate faults behind it.
It tells what you manage with the vehicle between now and the booking.
- A long even run may still do it, provided the light is amber and the car runs fine. Costs nothing, so try that before booking.
- Car already fallen into limp mode — that window has closed. A drive will not shift it now.
- Get it seen to rather than driving it — diesel in the interior, or smoke on the throttle, has gone well past the long-run stage.
Before the light, what the car was telling you
Symptoms have usually been building for weeks before the light so much as shows. Belated news, in other words:
- less power, particularly pulling uphill
- the revs no longer climb the way they always did
- economy that is worse than it used to be
- quietly, the stop/start gives up
- a diesel smell in the cabin, or smoke under acceleration
None of that is proof on its own. The light beside them points at a full filter.
The reason diesel particulate filters clog near New End
New End is a rural hamlet, and the day-to-day driving that comes with one is the worst sort for a DPF. None of it goes on long enough or runs hot enough for the filter to complete a regeneration: the school run to Great Alne Primary School, Spernal Lane barely moving at half past eight, five minutes to Simply Fresh, the dash to Wootton Wawen. The unburnt soot collects rather than clearing.
Save when you have a routine cause to drive out to the M40, under 10 miles from New End, or over to Worcester under 25 miles away, weeks slip past without a long steady stint. Geography is no help.
The point a DPF regeneration can no longer run
It is self-preservation: that is all limp mode amounts to. A proper drive works by triggering a regeneration, and that is precisely what limp mode blocks: power limited, revs held down, no regeneration available.
The common advice — take it up the motorway — is good, up until it is not. In limp mode you are beyond that line: cleaning is what will do it, not more miles.
Mobile DPF cleaning where the motor stands in New End
Most owners do not expect this bit: the filter stays put. The job takes place with the DPF still fixed to the motor — on your driveway, in a work car park, any place the motor can wait for a few hours.
Nothing is cleaned until other faults are cleared. That means a scan first: real-time data off the ECU, soot load by percent and by actual weight, and a review of the sensor feeds, glow plugs and connected components.
Next comes the clean itself: cleaning fluid in through the motor's own entry point, opening out inside the filter and loosening what a regeneration will not. Where the filter is badly clogged, plan on a second pass.
Then a regeneration, to drive off what the clean has freed. Either it goes as a monitored drive out of New End, with you along, or it runs where the motor stands and the real-time data is read once done.
A second diagnostic confirms the change, clears the warning light and logs anything still outstanding. Both sets of figures are emailed over, so you keep the before and after figures to hand.
Where a clean is not the answer
One thing is what cleaning answers — a filter clogged with soot and ash. It does no good for:
- a pressure sensor reporting a blockage that is not there
- the EGR valve jammed open
- the AdBlue system playing up
- failed glow plugs or injectors, so no regeneration ever starts
- a turbo putting oil through the filter
Which is why the scan comes first. You are told before all work gets going, not after you have handed over, should it turns out to be one of those.
Two things more worth knowing. Leaving the filter hollowed out is not a solution — a vehicle without a serviceable DPF fails its MOT and driving it is against the law. And cleaning is sometimes described as DPF renewal: nothing is exchanged, your existing filter is treated in place and put back into use.
Prices for DPF cleaning across New End
A call-out charge stands whatever follows, and takes in the visit, the booking fee, the scan and the advice given. Cleaning itself opens from £299.
The number is agreed over the phone, once we have the vehicle and what the filter is likely to need. No flat rate could be honest. What you own and where you are both change it: New End itself, over at Alne End, or farther out in the B postcode area.
Where the check says treatment will not work, you are not charged for a clean. What still holds is the call-out charge, since the visit happened, the check was carried out and the advice was offered.
If the light returns inside that window, an engineer heads back out to New End — the clean includes a 30-day warranty including aftercare.
Managed to clean the DPF in my Range Rover Evoque whilst in limp mode and get it back on the road in 2 hours. Ashley was knowledgeable and did a cracking job.
Very professional, polite service. not cheap but worth every penny. I'm so happy with result strongly recommend. to use this service. after many disappointments with another companies. Thank you.
Thank you Igor for resolving the dpf issue with my vw cc on 15.7.24. Kudos to the back office team as well for answering my questions beforehand. Vroom, vroom!
What we clean, and how far we travel around New End
The filter is done in place on all of them: private cars, vans of any size and light commercials, HGVs and lorries, plant machinery, agricultural machinery. Nothing is moved anywhere.
The same round that keeps technicians on Spernal Lane most weeks picks up New End, Alne End, Shelfield Green and the villages beyond Great Alne. It is the calendar, not the distance, that decides whether it is this day or the next, and coverage extends UK-wide — so call even from even further out through Warwickshire.

Things New End drivers ask about DPF cleaning
- Is a long drive enough by itself?
- If you spot it early enough, and the car is not in limp mode, sometimes. That calls for motorway speed for a sustained spell, rather than a short trip to Simply Fresh.
- About how long does it take?
- Bank on typically around 2 hours, with a second clean adding to that where the filter is badly blocked.
- What does it cost across New End?
- It opens from £299, plus the call-out charge paying for the visit, the check and the advice. Both the vehicle and where you are shift it, which is why quoting goes by phone.
- Must I be around in person?
- No. The motor needs somewhere to stand for a couple of hours; nobody expects you to stand with it. The regeneration can be carried out as a supervised drive if you would prefer to come along.
- Can someone travel to New End soon?
- It is often same-day or next-day, depending on what is now in the schedule. Phone 0303 330 1830 and we will tell you what is available across the B area.
- Is the filter lifted off the motor?
- On the mobile service, no: the filter is cleaned in place. And neither does lifting a filter off nor putting one back on is work we do.
- And if the light reappears?
- Included by the 30-day warranty: aftercare, and an engineer heading back to New End.
