Late news, the light. The symptoms tend to build for some time before it arrives:
- pulling uphill, the power drops away
- you find the revs never reach where they once went
- the fuel consumption is poorer
- the stop/start without a word packing in
- diesel in the interior, or smoke on the way up through the box
Any one of those, taken by itself, is not proof. It is a fair bet the filter is full once the light is there too.
Why diesel particulate filters block near Netherhope
