Mobile DPF Cleaning in Nethercote and Warwickshire
The vehicle stays in place — mobile DPF cleaning travels to it. The technician turns up at your door in Nethercote and sets up. The diesel particulate filter is cleared on the motor, a DPF regeneration runs after it, and you keep the filter you arrived with.
Nobody sets off until the price is settled over the phone. The visit runs typically around 2 hours and the clean begins from £299.
Most owners find us with the light on already, and the vehicle down on power. That is the situation this page is meant for.
The DPF light is on. What then?
Not the filter, always. Opening thing to note. Treatment is not where a visit begins. A diagnostic is — plenty of faults show up as the same signal.
The driving you do in the meantime tells. That is the other thing.
- Amber light, motor still driving normally — a long constant run can even now sort it on its own. Costs nothing, and worth attempting before you ring anything.
- Once the motor is in limp mode, a long run will not shift it. The window has shut.
- Stop arranging long drives and get it looked at if the cabin stinks of diesel or there is black smoke when you press on.
What the vehicle has been warning you
Symptoms have normally been building for some time before the light so much as arrives. Belated news, in other words:
- falling off on power, above all uphill
- an engine whose revs will not pull as they should
- worse fuel consumption
- the stop/start without a word giving up
- a diesel smell in the car, or smoke under hard acceleration
That is not proof by itself. It is a fair guess the filter is loaded once the light is showing too.
Choked diesel particulate filters around Nethercote, and the reason
Nethercote is a rural hamlet, and the day-to-day driving that comes with one is the worst type for a DPF. Look at an ordinary week: Braunston Church of England Primary School and home again, Bush Hill Lane at a standstill before the hour, a quick trip to Co-op Food, a hop to Long Buckby. None of it there lasts long enough or gets hot enough to complete a regeneration. Soot that should burn off builds up instead.
The M45 stands under 5 miles from Nethercote, Coventry under 15 miles away, and unless something carries you out that way regularly, whole weeks slip past without the long steady run that scours a filter. Geography does not oblige.
Limp mode, and when DPF regeneration gives out
It is self-defence: that is all limp mode amounts to. With power capped and the revs pinned, the regeneration the filter needs will not complete at all. That tells, because triggering one is exactly what a motorway run does.
Taking it up the motorway is the standard advice, and it works as far as a limit. In limp mode you are the far side of that stage: cleaning is what will do it, not more driving.
Where the motor stands is where the DPF is treated round Nethercote
The filter does not come off. That is the bit most drivers do not expect: the job is done with the DPF yet fitted to the motor, on your front, in a work car park, any place the vehicle can wait for a while.
Nothing is started until other faults are eliminated. That requires a scan first: live data off the ECU, soot load by percentage and by weight, and a look over of the sensors, glow plugs and related parts.
Soot and ash that a regeneration on its own will never move are loosened after that, by a cleaning fluid put through the entry point on that vehicle, which spreads inside the filter. Sometimes a filter is clogged enough to require doing twice.
Next, a regeneration drives off everything the clean lifted. If you are there, that is run as a monitored drive out of Nethercote; if not, statically where the vehicle sits, with the real-time data checked after.
Finally the check runs again — the change proven, the light reset, anything still open written down. Both sets of figures reach you by email, so the numbers are on record.
The problems a DPF clean cannot answer
Only one fault is answered by treatment: the filter blocked with ash and soot. It does little for:
- pressure sensors showing a blockage that is not there
- EGR valves that jam open
- the AdBlue system going wrong
- glow plugs or injectors stopping the regeneration running in the first place
- the turbo putting oil into the filter
The first scan is there for exactly that. When one of those is the fault, you hear about it at the outset rather than once the money has changed hands altogether.
Cutting the filter out is not a solution: without a functioning DPF a vehicle will fail its MOT, and driving it is an offence. DPF renewal is the term people look up, though nothing is exchanged — your own filter is cleaned in place and sent back into use. Two more worth bearing in mind.
DPF cleaning costs across Nethercote
The cleaning opens from £299. A call-out charge applies to every visit, and covers the call-out itself, the booking, the check and the advice that comes with it.
Publishing a flat rate would not be truthful. We fix it on the phone, once the vehicle and its expected needs are known. The motor moves it, and so does the location — Nethercote, Wolfhamcote, or a spot farther out in the CV postcode area.
Where the scan says cleaning will not do it, you are not charged for cleaning. You nonetheless pay that charge: someone turned up, carried out the scan and passed on you the advice.
Aftercare is covered by a 30-day warranty: should the light return within it, an engineer heads back to Nethercote.
Liam glory attended my vehicle, he was very professional and thorough in all his work and very informative with what I had to do next, I would use this company again and recommend to others.
Outstanding customer service provided by Liam. The communication was exceptional, and I was consistently updated on all aspects, including the estimated time of arrival (ETA). Liam successfully resolved the PDF issue, and I am very satisfied with his work. I would highly recommend his services for PDF-related tasks.
Daz was absolutely amazing. He was lovely and talked me through everything. He has educated me a bit more about my vehicle. Couldn't be more happier.
Vehicles we clean, and where we get to near Nethercote
Private cars, panel vans and light commercials, HGVs and lorries, plant and construction machinery, agricultural machinery — a single mobile service across all of them, and on all of them the filter is cleaned where it sits rather than taken anywhere.
Technicians are along Bush Hill Lane nearly every week, so Nethercote is hardly ever a journey of its own, and the same run picks up Wolfhamcote, Sawbridge and the places out past Flecknoe. Even further out through Warwickshire is nonetheless worth ringing about — coverage reaches UK-wide, and it is the calendar rather than the distance that decides between one day and the next.
