- less power, above all climbing uphill
- revs that will not climb the way they used to
- the fuel consumption is down
- stop/start without a word packing in
- a diesel smell in the interior, or smoke under the throttle
That is not evidence alone. It is a fair bet the filter is full once the light is there too.
