Late news, the light. The symptoms usually mount for weeks before it arrives:
- climbing uphill, the power drops away
- the revs no longer rise the way they used to
- the fuel use is worse
- the stop/start quietly bowing out
- a diesel smell in the cabin, or smoke under acceleration
None of that is evidence alone. The light with them indicates a full filter.
What blocks diesel particulate filters near Highgate
