Belated news, the light. The symptoms usually grow for a while before it appears:
- less power, particularly pulling uphill
- an engine whose revs will not rise as they should
- the fuel consumption is down
- silently, the stop/start packs in
- smoke under acceleration, or a diesel smell in the car
Alone, none of that is proof. Next to the light with them, the filter is a fair bet.
The reason diesel particulate filters block near Gortonronach
Being a coastal area, Gortonronach generates just the driving a DPF handles least well.
