Last news, the light. The symptoms generally build for some time before it arrives:
- less power, particularly going uphill
- you find the revs fall short of where they used to go
- the fuel use is worse
- silently, the stop/start gives up
- the cabin reeking of diesel, or smoke when you pull away
None of that is proof alone. Alongside the light, it is a fair assumption the filter is loaded.
The cause diesel particulate filters block around Falkland
