Signs the vehicle has been giving you
Last news, the light. The symptoms generally build for some time before it appears:
- less power, particularly climbing uphill
- you see the revs stop short of where they always went
- the fuel economy is down
- a stop/start that has silently given up
- the interior stinking of diesel, or smoke when you pull away
None of that is evidence by itself. The light alongside them indicates a blocked filter.
Why diesel particulate filters choke around Eliburn
