Mobile DPF Cleaning around Dooish and County Tyrone
With call-out DPF cleaning, we travel to the vehicle. Your motor will not be taken off and the filter will not budge. A fitter comes at your place in Dooish, treats the diesel particulate filter still on the vehicle and carries out a DPF regeneration.
The visit runs typically around 2 hours, the clean opens from £299, and the price is fixed on the phone before anyone sets off.
If the light is on already and the car is short of power, this page is for you. That is how most people get to us.
DPF light on? What comes next
The DPF is not necessarily what is wrong, and that comes first. A scan happens before all cleaning, because that same dash light has a number of possible faults behind it.
How the vehicle is handled in the meantime counts too.
- A long steady run may still manage it, provided the light is amber and the car goes as normal. Costs nothing at all, so attempt that before ringing.
- A drive will not touch it now — limp mode means that window has now shut.
- Get it checked rather than driving it — diesel in the car, or smoke on hard acceleration, has gone beyond the long-run stage.
Signs the motor has been showing you
Symptoms have normally been growing for some time before the light ever appears. Late news, in other words:
- going uphill, the power tails off
- revs that will not rise the way they always did
- the fuel consumption is down
- without a word, the stop/start packs in
- the cabin reeking of diesel, or smoke when you press on
That is not evidence on its own. It is a fair guess the filter is loaded once the light is showing too.
What clogs diesel particulate filters round Dooish
Dooish is a small village, and the driving that comes with one is the worst kind for a DPF. Look at a normal week: the local primary school and back, Crown Street at a crawl before the hour, a quick trip to the local shops, a hop to the nearest station. Nothing there runs long enough or runs hot enough to complete a regeneration. What should burn away stays put.
The map does not oblige either. The M77 is over 50 miles from Dooish and Derry is under 50 miles away, so unless something takes you out that way regularly, whole weeks slip past without the sustained run that would scour the filter on its own.
DPF regeneration, and the moment limp mode stops it
It is self-preservation: that is all limp mode means. With output capped and the revs pinned, the regeneration the filter needs cannot happen at all. That tells, because starting one is just what a long run does.
So the common advice to take it up the motorway is good advice, until the day it is not. In limp mode you are beyond that stage: cleaning is what will work, not more miles.
Where the vehicle stands is where the DPF is cleaned across Dooish
Most people do not expect this detail: the filter remains. The job happens with the DPF still bolted to the car — on your front, in a work car park, any place the vehicle can wait for a while.
First a diagnostic. Running ECU data, the soot load as a percent and as a weight, the sensors, the glow plugs, the associated hardware — all of it logged before anything is cleaned.
After that comes the clean itself: a cleaning solution in through the vehicle's own entry point, spreading inside the filter and lifting what a regeneration cannot. Sometimes a filter is loaded enough to need doing twice.
Then a regeneration, to clear what the clean has freed. Either it is done as a monitored drive out of Dooish, with you present, or it goes where the motor waits and the running data is verified after.
A second check verifies the change, clears the warning light and notes anything still outstanding. Both read-outs are emailed, so you have the before and after figures to hand.
What a DPF clean will not touch
A filter clogged with soot and ash is the one thing treatment answers. It will not help:
- pressure or temperature sensors showing a block that is not there
- the EGR valve held open
- the AdBlue system failing
- a regeneration that simply never completes, because of glow plugs or injectors
- a turbo putting oil through the filter
The first scan is there for precisely that. If one of those turns out to be the fault, you find out about it up front rather than once the money has left altogether.
Two more worth noting. Leaving the filter hollowed out is not a solution — a vehicle without a functioning DPF fails its MOT and driving it is illegal. And cleaning is sometimes looked up as DPF renewal: nothing is replaced, your existing filter is cleared in place and sent back into use.
The cost for DPF cleaning around Dooish
Every visit attracts a call-out charge — getting to you, making the booking, running the scan and offering the advice. The clean itself opens from £299.
The figure is fixed by the phone, once we have the vehicle and what the filter is apt to need. No flat rate could be truthful. What you run and where you are both change it: Dooish itself, out at Drumquin, or otherwise out within the BT postcode area.
If the scan writes treatment out, there is not a penny to pay for it. Because the visit, the scan and the advice have happened, the call-out charge still stands.
A 30-day warranty takes in aftercare on the job, and that includes an engineer heading back out to Dooish if the light comes back inside the period.

What we clean, and how far we travel near Dooish
Whatever it is — private car, light van, light commercial, lorry, plant, construction machinery, agricultural vehicle — the same call-out service applies, and the filter never quits it.
Nearly every week there is by then someone on Crown Street, so Dooish seldom means a journey of its own, and Drumquin, Dromore and the villages past Omagh follow. Coverage runs UK-wide, so even further out around County Tyrone is nonetheless worth a ring, and what settles between today and tomorrow is the diary rather than the distance.

Frequent questions on DPF cleaning around Dooish
- Can I merely take it for a long drive?
- It might, provided you spot it early enough and limp mode has not set in. That calls for motorway speed for a sustained run, rather than a brief trip to the local shops.
- Roughly how long does it last?
- It is typically around 2 hours. A heavily clogged filter can need a second clean, which extends that.
- Across Dooish, what does it come to?
- It begins from £299, plus the call-out charge covering the visit, the diagnostic and the advice. The vehicle and your address both change the price, so we settle it on the phone.
- Must I be around in person?
- The vehicle needs a spot for two hours or so. Nobody expects you to be in it. Preferring to be there is welcome: the regeneration then runs out on the open road, monitored.
- Coming to Dooish — how soon?
- That depends on the schedule, but it is often same-day or next-day. Phone 0303 330 1830 and we will let you what is free across the BT area.
- Will the filter be lifted off?
- Not on the mobile service — it is done where it is. Lifting a filter off or fitting one back on come to anything work we do in either direction.
- Suppose the light returns?
- An engineer heads back out to Dooish — the 30-day warranty includes aftercare.
