The motor has been warning you already
Belated news, the light. The symptoms usually mount for some time before it shows:
- falling off on power, above all uphill
- you find the revs stop short of where they always went
- fuel use that is worse than it used to be
- stop/start without a word packing in
- diesel in the interior, or smoke on the way up through the gearbox
By itself, none of that is evidence. It is a fair assumption the filter is full once the light is showing too.
Why diesel particulate filters choke around Denio
