Belated news, the light. The symptoms generally grow for weeks before it shows:
- power tailing off, particularly pulling uphill
- the revs no longer rise the way they used to
- fuel use that is worse than before
- a stop/start that has quietly packed in
- a diesel smell in the interior, or smoke under the throttle
That is not proof by itself. Alongside the light, it is a fair guess the filter is loaded.
What chokes diesel particulate filters around Coldred
