Signs the vehicle has been giving you
By the time the light arrives, things have normally been deteriorating for weeks. It is belated news:
- pulling uphill, the power drops away
- you find the revs fall short of where they once went
- fuel use that is worse than it used to be
- stop/start silently packing in
- smoke under the throttle, or a diesel smell inside
On its own, none of that is proof. Alongside the light, it is a fair bet the filter is full.
What blocks diesel particulate filters around Ceidio
For a DPF, the poorest driving is the sort you meet around a rural hamlet such as Ceidio.
