Before the light, what the motor was showing you
The light is last news. By the time it shows, the symptoms have usually been mounting for a while:
- going uphill, the power drops away
- revs that will not pull the way they once did
- fuel economy getting worse
- stop/start quietly bowing out
- diesel in the car, or smoke on the way up through the gearbox
Any one of those, taken alone, is not evidence. It is a fair assumption the filter is loaded once the light is on as well.
What blocks diesel particulate filters around Brunstock
