The car has been telling you already
The light is late news. By the time it arrives, the symptoms have normally been mounting for weeks:
- dropping away on power, especially uphill
- an engine whose revs will not rise as they should
- fuel use going worse
- without a word, the stop/start gives up
- diesel in the car, or smoke on the way up through the gears
Any one of those, taken singly, is not evidence. The light with them suggests a blocked filter.
What blocks diesel particulate filters near Broad Oak
