What the car has been showing you
Late news, the light. The symptoms tend to build for a while before it shows:
- less power, particularly going uphill
- revs that will not rise the way they once did
- consumption that is worse than before
- a stop/start that has meekly given up
- smoke under hard acceleration, or a diesel smell in the car
None of that is evidence alone. Alongside the light beside them, the filter is a fair bet.
Why diesel particulate filters choke round Ardnadam
Being a residential suburb, Ardnadam produces precisely the driving a DPF copes with worst.
